I'm proud to display this batch today.. Atarah received 9 months of nutritious Breast milk from me. And the journey will continue for 2 years, God's will. Before you could simply say " I'm lucky that I had milk to give..." " My baby latched well but ours didn't.. " I'm sorry, My journey wasn't easy either (it's still not easy).

There are nights I have cried because she doesn't want to unlatch at all, My back ached when I sit for hours to feed her. 2 weeks back I couldn't hold back and I posted on BSIM group that I need help and motivation, I got it too. Every loving Priya Sood pinged me and we had a long chat,Thx Priya for always being there for us. My family is still concerned, my mother and husband keeps saying wean her off completely but mother in me is not letting me to do it.

I nourish my child and I will continue to do it for some more time.. I may have a sleepless nights but it's a phase, She is growing up as fast as she can and she will out grow this breast feeding as well.

Note: Tag me if you have any issues in breastfeeding.

Shruthi First relax, it's just 3 days since you delivered. I started feeding bm only end of 2nd day and full fledged only by 5 days i.e after reaching home. Can you check out videos on YouTube for perfect latching? Because it's better to watch and learn. Now please hand express the bm (if not you will get fever) and feed the baby with spoon and bowl, at the same time keep latching, This way you will avoid formula. You can buy simple hand pump and take out the milk. Do you use a nursing pillow? If not use ordinary pillow and keep your baby on that and try latching, when you sit keep a stool under your legs.. All these will give baby a comfortable position to latch. Quickly start pumping and feeding bm and slowly latch.. Its just the beginning so don't give up. Ping me or tag me anytime.

Mommies I delivered my princess on Friday early in the morning via Normal Delivery. After that the nurse tried to help me with breast feeding but since there was no sign of milk in the first attempt she gave up and she fed her formula milk. The next feed another nurse tried and she said the nipples are too small and again formula feed. Next when I tried my baby would either cry when trying to latch or comfortably sleep off on my breast. Only once she tried latching but later on no nurse helped me help her latching. I was given medicine to increase the supply of breast milk but she wouldn't want to latch. Since she has been sleeping a lot we wake her up every 2-3 hrs to feed her and soon after she wakes up she cries due to hunger. She has no patience to latch even though there is a little supply of milk now. Since she cries, we end up giving her formula milk post which she sleeps. I am not getting a chance to help her latch. Now since I have taken medicines my breast feels full and it pains a lot. I am clueless as to what to do. Please <u>help</u> me. This is her third day after birth.
