Formula milk is used when the mother is unable to breast feed. It has been prepared to be as close to breast milk as possible but they don't have the immunity factors. Most formulas also have sugar and this is not advisable. Hence if formula feeding then opt for a sugar less formula . As far as possible breast milk is the best for a baby under six months of age.
