Its not abnormal. Usually the baby comes out by head, the head lies down but in breech position the hips of the baby are down in your pelvis. This position makes normal delivery difficult. So doctor's usually suggest for c-section to avoid any risk. But how many weeks pregnant are you? If it is before 35 weeks baby may change position. Don't worry much about it.
