What is an ectopic pregnancy???
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus. Normally, the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus.

Where does it occur????
An ectopic pregnancy most often occurs in a fallopian tube. This type of ectopic pregnancy is called a tubal pregnancy. Sometimes, an ectopic pregnancy occurs in the ovary, abdominal cavity or the lower part of the uterus (cervix), which connects to the vagina.

Cause:-

There is no one definitive ectopic pregnancy cause but;there are several factors that increase the risk.;
;1)These include pelvic inflammatory disease

2)previous surgery on the fallopian tubes;;

;3)becoming pregnant while using a contraceptive intra-uterine device.;

4)a history of a previous ectopic pregnancy, smoking,;

5) increasing age: the risk is highest among women between the ages of 35 and 40.

Symptoms:-

sharp waves of pain in the abdomen, pelvis, shoulder, or neck
severe pain that occurs on one side of the abdomen
light to heavy vaginal bleeding
dizziness or fainting
rectal pressure; ;;
Treatment:-

Treatment options vary depending on the location of the ectopic pregnancy and its development.

;NOTE:-
You should contact your doctor or seek immediate treatment if you know that you’re pregnant and have any of these symptoms.
