Cradle Cap is quite common in babies and its harmless if it's in control. It's a form of dandruff that develops in babies. To manage this here are a few tips : rub your baby's scalp gently with your fingers or soft cloth, use mild baby shampoo to wash you baby's hair. You can also use petroleum jelly to loosen it easily or baby lotion

Hey aswathi, need not worry about the cradle cap. It appears as patchy scaling or thick crusts on the scalp and greasy skin covered with flaky white or yellow scales. Cradle cap usually doesn't bother the infant. Cradle cap causes crusty or oily scaly patches on a baby's scalp. The condition isn't painful or itchy. This can be cured and its not harmful for the baby. There are ways to cure it by Gently rub your baby's scalp with your fingers or a washcloth to loosen the scales. ... Wash your baby's hair once a day with mild baby shampoo. ... If the scales don't loosen easily, rub petroleum jelly or a few drops of oil onto your baby's scalp. I hope this helps.
