What is hb electrophoresis ?? Is it a compulsory test ?? When is it done ?? One of my friend who is five months pregnant was told to do the test ..my doctor has not asked me to do such a test ??
It will be best if your hubby undergo this test..

hemoglobin electrophoresis can help diagnose diseases involving abnormal hemoglobin production in blood stream.. used to measure and identify the different types of hemoglobin in bloodstream. This test is advised only if any sort of sudden fall in hb seen or any morphological disorders is seen..
