what is meant by placenta reaching the internal os?

the internal os is an opening of the cervix where it joins the uterus. it should normally be closed.<br>
placenta reaching os means the lower end of placenta is reaching this point. it leaves very less place fr a baby to position itself in tbe lower part of uterus. potential complication is bleeding.
