What is the actual reason for babies to have outie belly button..? Some say if not pressed in properly immediately after cord falls down air would go inside and hence it pops out later.. But some says its because the air has gone in at the time of cutting the cord.. What is the actual fact? Please clarify..

Make sure you wait for the stump to heal well.; The doc generally giveS a medicine to apply.; Use that. If taken care of, the belly button heals well.;; Innie or outie isn't a concern.

No air goes inside and do not touch that area unnecessarily, As they grow it will go inside. cutting if cord really matters olden days they cut just like that so some of us still have outie or in bad shape but these days they do it carefully. So do not worry about that.

It's not like air would go inside and belly button pops out. It's not true. Gradually as babies grow it will go inside don't worry.
