What is the maximum time limit to give BCG? My lo is 4.5months old and bcg vaccine isn't available in the country i live due to pandemic.

Hello anon, my son got it after one year due to his health issues. So, don't worry. You can get it done. Doctor might ask you for a mantoux test and nothing else.

Not serious the scar formation will be more it will be painful and the effectiveness dr might advice a tuberculin test prior to vaccine application

@priyankapatel we are trying our best to give her vaccine asap but there's no availability. Please can you tell what all are the possibilities if bcg is given late? Anything serious?

Yes it is fine but baby may get<br>
sensitivity which you cannot avoid as the period of vaccination for perticularly this vaccine is before discharge from hospital

<b><span style="color:#3B5998;"> @ </span></b> i live in mexico. At the time of her birth she wasn't given BCG. Our PED said bcg has to be given within 1st 3 months. Due to unavailability she said its fine to give within 6months but still there's no sign of getting vaccine in the country. I will be travelling to india when she is near to 10months. Is it fine to give bcg then?
