My lo is 21 days n has regained his birth weight.but the paed said he is still on the lower side n he was expecting his weight to b 2.9 to 3kg. So has asked to give topfeed alternatively along with bf
Is this normal or something to worry???

The weight reduction happens in the initial weeks as the excess water accumulated when they were in the womb gets dried out. Then they will gradually gain weight. Please don't worry. It's fine

She was born with 2.83kg in the first week it reduced to 2.6kg n last week(sunday)he gain 2.82kg. today when measured it was 2.86kg.(in 4days)

I would simply change the paediatrician. Exclusively breastfeeding is all the baby need till 6 months.. This doctor is going to make you feel miserable and stressful whenever you go for the check up and be at the back of baby's weight.

No, can you please take a second opinion from another doctor. They gradually gain weight from end of second month. Please exclusively breastfed your baby. <br>
