When did your childoo start walking?

I was a late bloomer. At most of my milestones.
My sister is 7 years older than me, and learnt everything faster than me. Everything accept learning how to drive and type.
In 10th std i got the highest marks in typing in the school and by then I drove a car well too, so she said I should think of becoming a driver or steno! She found that very funny. I can remember her laughing at me!
Elder sisters can be a big pain.
Coming back to milestones.
So my sister started walking when she was 10 months old.
I, of course, was the slow one. I started walking at 17 months :)
So when my childoo was 11 months old, I wondered whether she would be like me? But I reminded myself, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. So never compare.
She started walking when she was 13 months old. I can still remember her walking in my mom's corridor all by herself. My mom saw her and whispered, "Asha dekh, Aarini apne aap chal rahi hai!" Priceless moment etched in my mind forever :)
After a few days we went to Papa John's in Baroda and Ini was so happy running about there! They gave her a red balloon and she squealed with joy on discovering her new freedom and ran all around the restaurant.

And to those moms whose babies are still learning to walk, pls don't fret. Every child will take their own time! I mean, look at me - I turned out to be pretty okay naa?!
