my ped told me  till the time there is no teeth no need of cleaning, and baby if is in complete bm it is not required, however if you wish to clean you can clean as adviced by other moms

when i asked my pediatrician about tongue cleaning.. he said there's no need to clean...as it gets cleaned by itself... but if you wish you can use soft muslin cloth(properly washed ) or you can use finger silicone brush... you can start around 3 months

Doc told me you can pass on infection by cleaning tongue and they have natural cleaning property.. So start after 2 months and either clean with warn wet cloth or dip the cloth in little honey and clean with that.. Make sure honey is fresh and always kept packed

hi i have started cleaning my baby tongue from 10 day itself n its only tongue u shuld clean upper part of mouth as well. plzz clean wid a cloth very gently during bath time. or best is before every alternative feed.

Hi Sharmishtha, tongue can be cleaned for a baby as young as  2 or 3 months old. Make sure to use a soft cotton cloth (properly washed and cleaned) and  warm water. Be really gentle. ❤❤
