question
Why is betnesol given during pregnancy? I was given one injection at 11.45 am and another is due at 11.45pm. This started yesterday when I found my Panty as well as my leggings little wet. Doctor has started antibiotic suspecting vaginal infection Also Gynaec has suggested complete bed rest for 7 days.

Sorry for updating late. Was just concerned whether betsenol delays the delivery. Any specific side effect?

It is a steroid which helps in maturity of lungs as you are still in 35 weeks and if delivery happens due to water break then baby must be capable to survive in external environment.. so betnesol is given..
