Winter's are officially here when you get green peas and red carrots so that can prepare peas paratha, gajar ka halwa, chura matar😋😋

Breakfast of the day was Chura matar

I use chura or flattened rice bought from bhagalpur bihar it's slight green in colour and tastes totally different from the ones we get here in Pune..

This is perfect time to get that chura as it's available in winters only..

1 cup poha or chura or flattened rice washed thoroughly..

1tbsp ghee

1tomato grated

Salt to taste

Lemon juice

Cashew few broken pieces

Raisins few

Elaichi 1-2

Bay leaves 1

Turmeric powder

Red chilli powder

Sugar pinch

Coriander leaves chopped

Peas 1/4 cup or more according to taste

Method

1. Heat a pan add ghee and then bay leaves alongwith elaichi and cloves

2. Let them splutter add rai seeds

3. Now add grated tomato alongwith all the spices, cashew, raisins except lemon juice and sugar

4. Now add peas and let it simmer

5. Add poha sugar and lemon juice and mix well

6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves

7. Serve hot with chai, sev , chutney etc..
