With the festive season we all tend to go overboard with the melt in the mouth kalakand barfi, yummy motichoor laddoos, spongy rasgullas and gulab jamun, aromatic halwas. Drooling yet? But with all this our health goes on a backseat. Its ok to indulge once in a while during such festivities as long as we start getting back on track once it is all over. A few simple things I follow to be on a balanced diet are:
;•;Start your day with a glass of warm water. You may or may not add lemon, cinnamon, honey to it. All these have their own benefits but could have negative effects as well. Like adding cinnamon was giving me acne. So pls ask an expert. Plain water is the safest bet though.
;•;Have a healthy and filling breakfast. I like to have oatmeal with boiled eggs. You can also have upma, poha, parathas, idli, dosa etc.
;•;Around noon have a fruit or a healthy drink like coconut water or nimbu pani.
;•;Include a bowl of dal, curd and salad in your meals. Try to eat a little lesser than you usually would.
;•;Munch on nuts and seeds in the evening.
;•;Have early dinner and include salads to fill yourself up.
;•;If you feel hungry before sleeping have a glass of milk. Add turmeric if possible. You dont really need to cut down on eating your favourite foods or starve. You just have to avoid junk and eat at regular intervals. #bbcreatorsclub#detoxrecipes#detoxdiet#nutrition
