So today happens to be World Elephant Day! It was a trending hashtag on twitter and that's how I came to know! Got me thinking, let's celebrate it here on babychakra too!
Here's a picture of my childoo and me taken in 2015 at The Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore. We are playing with Sri Sri's pet elephant Indrani! It was the most fascinating 30 mins for my childoo who accompanied me on a visit there for work. The core team was so gracious they ensured my childoo had the most memorable trip ever!
Another lovely elephant moment I have etched in my mind is of Lakshmi, the blessing elephant who is based at the Ganesh temple in Pondicherry (near Sri Aurobindo Ashram).

These days we are creating some wonderful memories when we ask baby Hanifa what does and elephant do and she makes a hand trunk and goes "aaunnn" <br>

I dnt have any such pic... But ya I love elephants and I keep tortuting my hubby by saying "I want a baby elephant"... It would b too cute.. he would splash water on us from his trunk... it would b so much of fun.

I had taken many elephant rides during my school days, our school would arrange elephant and camel rides every year during annual day celebrations. I have few pics too but at mom's place. last elephant ride was in Thekkady 2012. but now I am a bit against of animal rides coz of cruelty towards them, and the brutal taming process. I have seen a video of a baby elephant being taken away from its mother and tortured 😞
