Braxton Hicks contractions are uterine exercises. They are termed as fake contractions because they do not have any action in the cervix which is the mouth of the uterus. You may notice them somewhere around week 28 of pregnancy. They are mild, short and painless. They also do not have a pattern.

Braxton hicks contractions are also called as false labor pains. they can occur at any time during pregnancy but are.typically felt towards the end. they do not signify that labor will start. these contractions are at the front of the belly, irregular and will decrease in intensity with time and change in position. do not worry about them
