YES - I finally said it out loud. I used to very feel guilty saying it when I was pregnant. I was scared of being judged. I know many women love it but I did not enjoy pregnancy like I should have, even though it was a fairly smooth and easy pregnancy compared to many women.

Our society puts immense pressure on women to naturally like pregnancy and childbirth because that embarks their journey into motherhood. I agree pregnancy has its perks, you get special care and pampering, beautiful hair and glowing skin, feeling the kicks and seeing the baby during ultrasounds are magical..But honestly, it is an extremely uncomfortable experience overall.

A woman’s body goes through so many changes throughout pregnancy. During the first trimester by the time u realize that it’s really happening... nausea, vomiting, extreme hunger, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, and mood swings hit you..along with the panic of constantly worrying if your baby is going to be fine!

The second trimester as everyone says is the best..although there are still issues like body pain, indigestion, hemorrhoids, itchy skin, pigmentations..You get back some energy and start seeing a cute little bump which is rewarding..But before you know it you enter the third trimester and things turn rough pretty quick..

The last trimester is usually the most difficult..Swollen hands and feet, hip and back pain, heartburn, weight gain, difficulty moving around..you can't see your feet, put on socks, or pick up fallen objects anymore...your bladder shrinks, you are sleep deprived and freaking out about labor..and these are just 50% symptoms of a regular pregnancy without any complications! I really salute moms who love pregnancy despite all this ❤️

After 9months of going through all of the above and a 26hour labor..The moment I saw my baby’s face every bit of it was worth it..And that’s Motherhood'' ❤️"
