Yesterday was World Autism Awareness day and as a matter of fact the whole April month is Autism Awareness Month.

I wrote a small poem called "It's a world for everyone to share" for spreading awareness and be accepting towards people and kids with Autism. The poem is also inspired by the book "For everyone to share" by Gilloan Lobel and Daniel Howarth. I hope you like it.

They are special they are unique

They take their time, they might not be quick

Let's make sure to show them we care

Because it's a world for everyone to share!
They might cry, might not know how to be strong

Just wanting and longing to belong

Let's accept them and it's only fair

Because it's a world for everyone to share!
They have dreams and they try to fit

They're no different they share the same grit

Let's do our bit and make others aware

Because it's a world for everyone to share!
They are just like us, they want us to see

All they want is to be accepted and to be free

Let's make a difference, let's not compare

Because it's a world for everyone to share!

With this post we are trying to sensitize the world to become a little more accepting to the people with this spectrum disorder.

They are just the pieces of the puzzle trying to fit in. Let's spread awareness and become more accepting towards these special and unique human beings!
