Hi asmita, this could be due to the hormonal changes in the body. a rise in the level of estrogen usually causes a metallic taste in the mouth during the initial stages of pregnancy. It will get better soon. You could try having citrus fruits to get rid of the taste. Also talk to your doctor and see if you can change the brand of your supplements. You can try rinsing your mouth with salt water as well. Dr.Shilpitha Shanthappa

it’s actually quite common during pregnancy. We can blame our increased levels of estrogen as the culprit.. Eat or drink citrus fruits or juice.. Use salt water to rinse mouth.. change your prenatal vitamin.. Talk to your doctor about switching if you just can’t tolerate the taste in your mouth.. Pickles do wonders in this case and my favo too... Brushing your tongue when you’re brushing your teeth could also neutralize the pH levels in your mouth..
