I have a
1 year old baby
mashed bananas, steamed apple puree, steamed pear puree, chikoo puree, ragi arf porridge, rice moong dal khichdi with spinach, mashed veggies like carrot, beetroot. start with 1 or 2 spoons of any of these and try for 3 days to check if baby adjusts well. there are many articles on baby chakra with info on weaning recipes. do check them out as well. at 6 months, feed only once a day, rest should be breastfeed only..
baby only needs only one meal a day at 6 months. u can give mashed potatoes, banan or sweet potato. under no circumstance ur feed shud NOT drop at all. ur baby's weight is going to increase and immunity is going to be build by ur feed only.
you give meal in the afternoon.
Actually after his 5 month my bm was not sufficient to my lo so as per doctor advice I started weaning him ragi porridge and now he his too cranky in the evenings I feel bm is not sufficient to him....
Even I breast feed him
if you feel baby is hungry, yrust your gut and feed him dear... give very less initially, you dont want to cut down breastfeeds
