Q:

these days my baby has been crying a lot during the night...she cries for several minutes like she has some pain or a wet diaper...we often check whether she has gastric pblms,a wet diaper....we are sure it's not of hunger or anything coz we exclusively feed her in time....my question is,if she is crying to sleep, how should i encourage her to go to sleep on her own? btw I often breastfeed her to sleep,I don't want to do that coz I wish to go for work pretty soon, then what can be done?,my baby is 10 months old....

Dear Anjana , You may have to sleep train you baby . You need to set up a routine daily for her . stop night feeds. Encourage her day time feeds . Ever night for a week try putting her to bed awake after feeding . when she is sleepy but not tired. She will cry u must soothe her and gradually she will self soothe n sleep.by her self . If u want further help i am sleep consultant at baby chakra contact me . I am here to help

It depends does the baby fall asleep after crying for a few minutes. If yes then she is self soothing and hence it's fine. You are right it is not a good idea to allow the baby to sleep while feeding.
