I did it often the first 1.5 month.. but lesser after that ..discharge has decreased considerably but wanted to know whether his eyes have healed or no completely..also how long do I have to massage n wen will I know that his eyes have healed?? I mean any indication?.

keep doing it till 4 to 5 months
my baby have same issue Dr suggest used to recover but sometimes again block so keep doing

continue to do as suggested by your Dr. the massage is very helpful and by the time your lo is in the 5 months it will also be normal

All babies are born with blocked tear ducts which open between seven to fifteen days post birth. For some it lasts a little longer. Continue with the massage as taught to you. Just make sure you don't yourself and do not use any oil or lotion. Do not put Kajal in the baby's eyes. Once they are completely open you will see tears in your baby's eyes when they cry and after a nap the eyes will not appear sticky.
