has anyone used maternity pads, can u suggest the brand and how many should be apt post delivery

u will get it in hospital.. dont worry

Maternity pads are provided by most hospitals. However if you want to purchase a superior quality then it is available at all maternity and baby stores. You need to use maternity pads while your episiotomy stitches are healing and thereafter you can use regular pads. The stitches take approximately ten to fifteen days to heal completely.

In my hospital they had provided lochiapad however I had taken my own pads too.. I found lochiapad ok, but initially I had used my own pads whisper ultra choice xxxl which is bigger in size.. both worked fine for me. immediately after delivery I used whisper, and when the flow had reduced I used lochiapad. personally I don't think there is absolute necessity to get maternity pads, I had used xxxl and xl pads and they were fine according to the flow.. I would suggest you can get 2-3 packs , in my case I bled for 3 weeks, some people bleed even more. u can get according to your flow as required..

Can also check out the disposable panties from Mothercare. comfortable and no washing hassles
