When a baby starts solids they do tend to awaken more at night as they are compensating for the missed breast feeding and suckling. Give him a good dinner which is filling and then when he awakens have some one else handle him. A baby this age is not waking up for hunger just for comfort. Also ensure that he does not fall asleep at the breast as he needs to learn how to put himself to sleep. Right now the only method he knows is suckling and sleeping. Please avoid jaggery as it is a form of sugar and that cannot be digested by the kidneys.

hi Kashish , u are right babies.of 7th month can sleep of 12 hrs at night . firstly he is sleeping too much in the day . he needs 4 hrs max total which can be 2 naps each of 2 hrs. keep the day filled with feeds and limit the day sleep . if any more queries plz ask .

Hi Ruqaiya thanks will try keeping him awake during day anything else will msg u

dear Kashish , he still need to nap but just 4 hours total in the day . keep trying he will soon sleep longer at night

yes will gv him small naps but total 4 hoursadding pure ghee and jaggery actually help should I start that for him

its good that it helped . u can give any food to your baby as long as its healthy but dont make it a habit . sleeping at night can be possible without giving any food jus continue with same routine .make baby sleep at same time they soon learn .
