As long as weight and growth is there in the baby we do not worry about the weight gain of the mother. Your doctor does not seem to be concerned about the weight loss since you are probably over the normal weight ranges. Eat high protein foods four to five times a day such as lean meat, eggs, pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts etc.

I faced the same problem. but my doc advised me to be on high protein less carb diet. she advised lesser my weight more will be the baby weight. my reports were fine after following her at 34 weeks. just stay relax and take more protein. like paneer .besan chila. dals.
