Q:

Dr. Priyanka Patel... My due date is 14 july and i am completing 9 monrh on 7 th july however labour pain has not been started yet. Someone suggested me to take the one table spoon caster oil with milk for 3 days to induce the natural labour pain.

Is it correct.. Caster oil is helpful to induce labour and what are the sideeffects. Please advice

Please answer@dr priyanka patel

Castor oil is all risky, You have to consult your gynecologist before taking anything. 14 July is another 10 days more , if you don't have pain by 14th July your doctor will induce pain.

Castor oil has been advised by many gynecologist depending upon the case and pregnancy situations in very normal pregnancy is without any risk usually doctors do you advice informally to take that castor oil if at all required because only 30% doctors do revert on castor oil otherwise it is usually not given because of its tendency to cause loose motion and stomach upset I do not have your report and I have not seen your reports from start of pregnancy till now so you must speak to your gynecologist about it it is important to know whether you are suffering from any e blood pressure thyroid blood sugar or even urine crystals

Thanks dr priyanka... I would like to share that i am not suffering from any blood pressure, thyroid and sugar... My baby position was also accurate for delivery as per my previous ultrasound.... Then is it fine to take caster oil... Actually my gyne has not suggested this.. My mausi who works in jaccha baccha kendra advised me to do so
