Hi..my baby is 1.5 month. Since yesterday, he sleeps within 5 minutes after I start breastfeeding. He doesn't wake up even if I tickle him. but he wakes up after 5-10mins and again starts looking for milk. He wants me to feed him continuously. I burp him after every feed. I feed him Nanpro once a day ( after bath)

He is not even sleeping properly during the day. just naps for 10 mins. But sleeps for 5-6hrs at night at a stretch.

Wat to do? Pls help..

Hey sai young babies are like that.  Their sleep pattern is very unpredictable. Their sleep pattern takes time to develop.
  you'll have to keep feeding a baby as young as that.  is there a particular reason why you're feeding him nan pro?  please check out Anisha Agarwal profile and post on FM!

Sumira Bhatia thanks for your reply and for suggesting the post. Doctor has suggested Nan 1 as the baby is not gaining enough weight. I feed him through bowl and spoon. I feed him because he sleeps immediately while I breastfeed so I don't understand if his tummy is filled

hey till 3-4 months babies sleeps like that only..u should be happy he is sleeping at night..and chck my post if u want to feed  nan pro

Dear Sai Gandre , baby is sleeping like this due to lack of energy , cud be underweighy also. I suggest u try to fed baby regularly even.if it is formula to increase his weight. As baby weight increases they can stay awake longer to take better feds . As it takes energy to stay awake n they sleep to.conserve energy . Fed every 2 and half hour round the clock even.at night . Inorder to.wake.up remove babies daiper this seems to wake them up for feeding .

Faced same problem in first month. My baby used to doze off. So after every feed, I used to supplement with formula by using bowl n spoon. The whole family was basically feeding the bub. After a month once she gained some strength n some weight she was on exclusive breastfeed.;
