Are babies color blind when they are born? When can they recognize colors?



they are not color blind....they have binocular vision and can only see images or objects close to their eyes, they often follow bright colors
slowly as their vision develops that is the first 6-8 months they begin to identify smaller objects.
in the early stages baby recognises mother by her smell and others by their voice.

Yes they are color blind....they touch things and sense them...they truly understands the touch of the mother. Gradually after 6 months they recognise things.

we can't exactly term it as colour blind but yes till few days all they see is black and white as their vision is not developed but slowly they start recognising colours but still they have an affinity toe=wards black and white or rather contrasting colours till 6 months...
