So our school gave a list of healthy snack variations that we could give, when my lo was in Jr. Kg.
Mondays would be, any one of these options - Idly dhokla Dosa Wada etc
Tuesdays would be poha, upma, sabudana khichdi etc
Wednesdays would be any rice variety or any sandwiches
Thursdays would be Roti Sabji or any parathas variety and Friday waa the time for food of any choice.
Daughter is in grade 2 now and I still follow this more or less, with slight variations like Moong daal chilla, Moong daal Wada, thalipeeth, pinwheel sandwiches etc
I found this very helpful. You can add your own healthy options.
Key is variety with nutritious food.
