Q:

#InquisitiveToddlers
What are some of those awkward questions you get from toddlers and you don't know how to respond? Once my daughter caught me with a sanitary pad and I had to tell her it's mumma's diaper. Do you think I should have just been open and told her what it is ? Why hide or hiding at this age is good? Tell me what do you think ?

so it really depends on the age. sometimes u hv to avoid telling the whole truth coz they are too small to understand

i think u gave right answer..she is too small to understand that

Hey try to be honest with your kids as much as possible. If you think that she's old enough to understand this then go ahead and tell her about pads.

Hey,  you didn't mention the age of your baby.  At the age of six to seven,  babies can try to understand the concept of sanitary pads.  But before six,  just tell the name of the object  like this is my diaper as little one 's have. Always keep calm while explaining and don't feel embarrassed.

thanks for the tag asha chaudhry.. hey Anonymous.. i think you handled it b well. at this age, I'm sure she wouldn't understand the concept of menstruation.. when a
she's older, you can always revisit the topic and give her age appropriate context and information.

For toddler's the answer is right. Once she grows up the concept can be changed.

I feel at a toddler age you did handle it very well. If she still asks for more in detail later you can explain it in a simple way as she grows and starts to understand about body parts and how they work yoi can take it gradually. but for now its fine.

I think you can tell your kids about this after certain years. not at the toddlerhood stage ofcourse! even my son suspiciously looks at my sanitary pads(he is just 3) 🙈
