hi everyone i would like to share that i checked my pregnancy test it came positive & today is my 8th week of pregnancy I'm getting vomiting more daily 3 to 4 times ill get can't sleep at night time can't tolerate little bit of any good r bad smells?  My doctor has given me some tablets to control the vomit but my friend said I shouldn't take that tablet so wt to do?

Dr.Shilpitha Shanthappa

dont do that mistake by not taking medocines.. if you wont take medicines, you will have vomitting nausea and loss of appetite.. by regular vomitting, it will pressurize on uterus which may cause some complications.. so please take medicines, you will be relieved up to some extent.. and these things will be there in first trimester after that it will get subsided.. take care n congratulations..

Anon please listen to your doctor and follow what she says, Don't listen to your friends and relatives every pregnancy is different.

trust your doctor dear . take medicines as prescribed otherwise you will not be able to eat properly . I too faced to same till 5th month was advised to take medicine twice daily . and gradually reduced the dosage and finally stopped. also sensitivity to smells is very common during this time .  congratulations and tc.

ive gone through this twice. the medicines ur gynec gives r safe n meant specifically fr this condition. so u r better off listening to ur doc than ur friends or family on this.
try eating small portions of food at intervals n sip fluids through the day.

you should always trust your doctor as she is the best who knows what's correct for you...still if you feel something wrong you can take second opinion but from the doctor only.Take cate dear...it's a phase of pregnancy in most cases after first trimester vomiting reduce.

Strongly agree with all the moms... always trust your doc.
