hello everyone, I am in my 30th week and found that I have got gestational diabetes and am asked follow a diet. however everything else is fine but am concerned about how to put on weight in the baby. I want a chubby golu molu baby. any suggestions?

Fetal weight gain will depend a lot on genetics and a healthy diet. A baby obese at birth will have obesity issues later as well. As long as the baby is a healthy birth weight which is between 2.5 to 3.5 kg even if the baby appears lean it's just fine.

ahhann..baby weighs 1.3 KGS at this point. also having gestational diabetes means c section or that doesn't matter

I have diabetes ..but as I followed regular diet.. it did not affect my pregnancy.. my gynac suggested me that baby weight should not go beyond 3 kg.. as it will beneficial for vaginal delivery.. my baby weight was 2.75 kg when she born.. but as if today she is actually golu molu infact she have put on extra weight.. so I will say.. enjoy. don't eat junk food.. anything like samosa, chat, sweet,etc..

I had gestational diabetes too. I had to follow a diet too. My child is now 3 and I am totally fine. Gestational diabetes happens due to hereditary tendencies. It had no impact on the type of delivery and my baby did not have any sugar issues. But please do keep checking your sugar post delivery. All the best dear

diabetic mums are prone but not always have larger babies.
just make sure you provide a healthy lifestyle for your child. a fat baby doesn't always mean he will be healthier than a lean baby
