Hi.just been blessed with a baby boy 4 days back.First day I breastfeed but after that he was not latching and I was not able to sit so we switched to formula milk and now he is used to it .I am really worried what to do?

The same happened to me. Please do not stop and continue to give your own milk. Keep trying. Do not give bottle. If you must give formula give from spoon. You can also consult a lactation expert.

asmita das yes. you can express your milk & give with spoon n bowl , n you can use nipple shield also . so your nipples would be out .

Hello Asmita, I had same nipple problem. I was not able to feed until I saw a video of "perfect latch" from this article..

"the best guide you will ever find on latching and breastfeeding" there is link for video in this article.. under breastfeeding, select "a perfect latch" .. surely this video 'll help you to overcome your problem

first of all congrats!! I was having the same problem. problem is you may have engorged breast and that may be a reason for the baby to improper latch. flat nipples may also be a reason.dont know which is your problem. if you have flat nipples, then try nipple puller. I used pigeon nipple puller . if you have engorged breasts, then try to express few milk so that the nipple portion will be soft which will help the baby to latch the nipple. try it out. also see some proper latching techniques on YouTube . happy parenthood!!

Thank you Radhi anand your suggestion helped me a lot.now my kiddo is latching successfully but because the milk is less coming out he is not full and my SaaS can't see him half stomach she gives him bottle no matter how much I resist.

that's great to hear Asmita.. Happy for you..only way to increase our breast milk is to feed, feed, feed..

radhi anand

you can get a breast pump and start pumping your milk.. initially you may be pumping less milk but it will trigger your body to produce more milk due to stimulation..
