Hello fellow mommies! Here is a poll. Umbilical cord stump care!

How did you look after your newborn's umbilical cord stump? Did you apply something on it or did u let it dry on it's own? Did it give you trouble or did it fall off on it's own quietly? Did you sponge bathe the baby or bathe the baby normally?

And how many days did it take for the stump to fall off?

To be honest i did not take any precaution after my baby's umbilical cord.. normal bath started after a week n it fell off after 10days with no trouble.

My baby's cord fell when he was in NICU itself. So, I didn't took care of it.
