I have a question..
Ryt now I am at my in-laws house..we have come here for a vacation..just to spend a good tym wid here comes a concern..My room is on the first floor..n for everything I have to go to my room..everyone stays on the ground we also come down n stay..there are is it okay to climb stairs all I do for 10-15 times a day approximately..n I am having a bit pain in my lower abdomen and back..both d pains are continuous..everyone here tells "kaam karna accha h.."bt I think I am over-stressing my body..I; keep on doing things widout a pause..and I don't even lay during d day.. plz help me docs..

Hi... See it's okay if you climb stairs but just don't try to climb fast and rush in ... However since your getting pain in back and abdomen. ... You need to reduce the frequency and also it's important to take rest ... And lie down for some tym... Talk to them and tell them you need rest ...

Hi Ana. Climbing stairs is not a problem at all. Just do it at a comfortable pace. The thing is that if you have been that active before pregnancy and during your pregnancy uptil now then your body is already used to it. I know people say that you should be walking briskly and sweeping the floor while pregnant to ensure normal delivery but this is for mothers who are used to that kind of exercise. If you suddenly start doing something that you have never done before you will just end up with sore muscles. Take it easy. Climb at your pace. It will not hurt your baby.
