Q:

my baby is 7.5 months. what activities/toys/games/routine shall I adapt for her appropriate development.. ?
second question, any recommendations for parenting book or something. I feel astray sometimes regarding what right or wrong I am doing to her. In no time she would start catching up things.
for e.g. sometimes she would bite my nipple so hard while breastfeeding that I would almost shout or scold her, and she gets quiet for se seconds. and then I would love her and pacify her. or say sorry. I have started to develop more will power with that and I don't shout anymore. this was just an example.

Hello Akanksha! Regarding the activities, there are lots of books your child would love. Read together to develop a reading interest. Toys are plenty to choose from. Select those which have moving and sound features.
You can read many articles such thishttp://www.babychakra.com/learn/1186-6-must-have-toys-in-your-baby-s-first-year
Songs are also lots of fun too as music helps at this age too.

Regarding parenting books, I would really suggest you follow your own parenting instincts. You are only human so please go easy on yourself. Be patient as your child is learning about this new world.

Kaushal Sovani

Hello Akanksha and Preeti.

Babies are born geniuses and linguists. They have the ability to learn 20 languages in first 2 yrs of life.

Their brain is still developing even after birth. So the more stimulation u provide, the more synaptic connections and more the brain development.
Having said that, follow what Priya has recommended.

Along with that, also break down activities in these categories
*Social
*Emotional
*Physical
*Spiritual
*Mental

Use 5 sense organs (touch/feel, sight, smell, taste, listening) to create simple activities for brain stimulation.

You may use commercially available toys or use everyday items available at home for e.g.... warm water v/s cold water or smooth texture v/s rough texture etc.

Play with ur child. Make it fun.

My daughter speaks 4 languages fluently and is learning 2 more.
She had started identifying flags of more than 23 countries when she was 18 months old.

So the potential of a baby's brain is enormous.

I would also recommend u to do this course called ISP The Art of Parenting. It will give u a pathway to how to develop your baby's multiple intelligences.
Love and Regards.
