Q:

Should I start giving gripe water to my 4 month old baby? She is exclusively breastfeed.

Shridevi Pawan Shilwant

Hey dear doctors won't recommend gripe water instead of gripe water you can give colicaid drops to your baby if she is having any stomach problem like gas, indigestion etc but before giving consult once with your baby's pediatrician

Richa Chowdhary

Gripe water is not suggested.. why you want to gripe water.. for gas apply hing paste on naval

Resham Java

Gripe water is absolutely not required by the baby you should exclusively just breast feed her baby and start with normal water boiled for babies 6 months and above

Rebecca Prakash

Why you want to give? Does she face any discomfort? EBF babies are less likely to be Colic babies.

rakash; I was wondering that if she needs something more then the breastmilk bcz of the increasing temp. It might cause dehydration. Just asking in case weather is it safe or not

Shridevi Pawan Shilwant

Hey dear gripe water is not suggested n your breast milk is enough to keep baby hydrated as breast milk contains enough water for baby so till your baby completes 6 months no need of gripe water or normal water

Rebecca Prakash

80 % of our breast milk is water, they don't need anything other than bm. Keep feeding the baby.

Richa Chowdhary

Breastmilk is more than sufficient...
