Q:

I am a work from home mom and exercise in the evenings. What is the ideal healthy snack you would recommend after I am back home from a workout. I usually just have a bowl of salad. If there are sprouts - I add them as u are supposed to have a protein after working out. If i remember, I boil in egg in the morning and add that. Sometimes i get some mushrooms boiled and add them.
[Pls suggest something simple as I don't have the bandwidth to come back and rustle up something. And in Goa, our cooks & maids come only once a day!]
Many thanks in advance.

Salad is the best i feel. Cucumber, capsicum, radish, carrot, methi leaves, tomato, some grated cheese, lots of lemon juice over it. Beetroot. Everything raw. Boiled corn, peas, papaya, musk melon, water melon.

Ananya Pareek

You can make a dosa like batter of jowar flour & rice flour....add finely chopped onion, chillies and corriender leaves to it and make paper thin chillas...it's super healthy and tastes awesome

Ananya Pareek

Similarly you can try making chillas with soaked moong dal as well ...which is also full of protein

Ananya Pareek very interesting! I will get done at lunch time only by the cook!

Asha di..my suggestion will be obviously fruits, salads etc and you can go for an egg white omelette which comes out in minutes..you can add veggies to it..in salads you may add gfilled fish, chicken, avocadoes etc..also ask the morning cook to cut veggies and keep in zip pouch.. Salads with boiled white chana etc are really healthy...you can also ask the; cook to make vegetable broth and keep in fridge..at night accompanied with some wheat bread it is great..

Sounds awesome Aditi Ahuja ! Thnx
