Ask doctor for painless injections. It will not cause any redness or swelling. It's very effective although it's high in cost.

I hv asked my doctor (AIIMS)about gentle pentavalent. He said it's not as effective as regular pentavalent. He only recommended; normal vaccines.

Hii som..plz consult ur doc. Before applying vicks or anythng to that area..and what my doc. Suggested me that if baby is not showing any discomfort or showing little changes in behaviour is just fine..its ok if they learn to handle minor things..we as a parents should not panic for little things.. Apply ice 3 times in a day..it worked so good for my baby.

Precaution is better than cure. Ask doctor to give an injection which does not cause pain or redness but it is more costly. Those who can afford must go for it or else ice pack is what doctor suggests in the injection area. If there is fever give few drops of crosin to the child.

Hi Som, if baby feels pain or there is slight swelling then just gently apply a cold pack/ cloth on the area. As you mentioned. We generally do not apply any other cream. When you go for the vaccine do ask your Dr as well
