I EBF my baby. She is 4.5 months now.

I want her to get used to bottle feeding so I plan to start pumping. I have mee mee manual pump. My question is

If I start pumping now, how much milk do I expect initially and for how long do I pump. I want to give her two feeds using bottle.

Hi Reshma. Pumping is really good to increase the flow too. I would pump as much as I could till the flow reduced. Hope this helps

Reshma pump not more than 20 mins per side, initially I got 30 ml later on it increased but I stopped pumping as my baby refused bottle.

Satyam Sharma exclusively pumps BM.

Thanks Priya Sood Rebecca Prakash I just wanted to set my expectation right so that I don’t give up on pumping seeing low output.

Rebecca Prakash When I used a manual pump I got some 25-30 ml. Will the output increase if I use an electric pump? I am planning to get one soon. Wondering when will I be able to pump a bottle full of milk 🤔so that I can pump and leave for work after few months.

Yes you may buy an electric pump it's fast and easy. With manual pump also it will increase, pumping helps in producing more milk.
