Hello beautiful ladies,
How much should be our water intake???
I drink abt 2.5-3ltrs of water in a day.... still sometimes feel my lips dry....
Any suggestions!!!

hey krutika, good q! they say 3L but since summer is here everyone's lips are dry! do drink coconut water if it suits u - i used to find that very refreshing (still do!)

There is a general statement about how much water should be consumed, It is said that we must consume at least 8 glasses of water a day.
But would you believe me if I say it's a myth.; True, it's a myth.; You would now ask me how. Here are some facts to prove it.
To figure out how much one should consume water completely depends on the person's need, the body mass, the temperature of your surroundings, your urge to drink water, sweat,the kind of activity you do and all these factors contribute to the amount of water that one should drink to strike an electrolyte balance.
For example, if you are a heavy sweater, or simply larger. The larger you are, the more water you need for every function in your body, not to mention replacing sweat. However, if you are smaller or don’t sweat a lot, even less than eight glasses may suffice to maintain water balance.
Another myth is that many of us think that if we go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 8 a.m., we think that we have gone at least eight hours without hydrating ourselves.
So,; we have a misconception that we need to drink plenty of water. This isn’t the case. And the fact is that our urine can give a glimpse of it. If our urine is clear, that means it’s diluted. If our urine is dark, it’s because our kidneys are doing its job to conserve water and it’s concentrated.; The first void of the day is always darkest as a matter of fact. Plus, if we take multivitamins or are on a high-protein diet, the colour of our urine could be dark for some reasons other than dehydration. So, instead of just looking at the colour, look at the volume. The more we put in our body, the more that should come out.; On the other hand if we consume too much water, we may have to run to the rest room very frequently.
