Q:

Is it compulsory to maintain 2 hours gap for feeding? My baby sleeps a lot and it gets very difficult to wake her up from sleep to feed..sometimes can I give 3 to 3.5 hours gap?

Dear yes till she gains her birth weight you need to feed her every 2 hrs..gently wake her up. Once she completes 2 weeks or so you can feed on demand. How is it going? Hope you are OK.

Generally newborns sleep a lot,and sometimes they won't wake up every 2.5 hrs..so just try but if at all required,one stretch for 3 hrs in 24 hrs should be okay..

Ok Becca..will do that..i am doing absolutely fine now..she's just a bit cranky about feeding from my right breast..and pees and poops very often.. 😁

Hi kritika at this stage yes. In the first 2 weeks u need to feed baby 10-12 times in 24 hrs

+1 on becca's advice. At night u can stretch to 3 hrs so u get some sleep as well. Tc
