Hi Rosemary,
Ideally if the child is breastfeeding well upto 6 months, there shouldn't be much to worry. However, if you feel he isn't feeding well enough, reach out to either your pediatrician or a lactation expert, who can consult you personally.
Thanks

if birth wt is 3.25 kg than wt at 3 months should be 5.5 kg to 5.75 kg...so 4.5 kg is definitely less...consult your pediatrician for the reason

hey rosmary....I understand being mothers we r most of the time worried about our kids but personal experience. ...worry is the enemy for our kids. ...if we stay positive about our kids they r happy n healthy....breastfeed for 6 months and set routine for food after 6 month....my daughter will b 3 months on 11th...her pediatric is happy with her growth....infant should not pee too much....too much peeing is a sign that they r taking more watery milk from mom....u should feed them 40 min from one breast....don't change the breast in one feed.....see if this is the issue

Hi Rosemary,
Hearty congrats for the little bundle of joy.
At 3 months, you should only be breastfeeding. Check with your pediatrician for the right frequency. If your child has been feeding well, don't worry about weight. Your baby will catch up over time!
Best regards
