Q:

hello friends,
Really want your help.so tensed.I am 36 week 3 day pregnant my placenta is posterior. recently I have read an article that in this placenta normal delivery is not possible.placenta should be anterior.is this right ?

Akanksha

I don't think it's true.. I had posterior placenta myself n had a normal delivery.

No it's not true. The placenta can have four positions posterior anterior fundal or previa. The only position which results in a surgical birth is when the placenta is previa which means covering the mouth of the cervix. In this situation the placenta will deliver before the baby and that becomes riskier.
