Hi Mommies,
In a span of 20 days i hav put on 4 kgs which is actually not good i know..
i need to hav some good diet..
normally i hav idli,dosas n chapati during brkfast n dinner,
Rice in afternoon, 2 glasses of milk per day, dry fruits n fruits..
I do walk for 20-30 min every evening..
I don't know where I'm going wrong in my routine food.
so can u plz suggest me a proper diet to balance my weight further..??
I hav entered into my 21st week today

nasreen, your diet looks good. are you taking too much amount of food? often elders in the house force feed saying eat for 2 and all... some fruits can also cause weight gain if eaten too much, like mangoes and jackfruit. likewise, nits should also be consumed in moderation, 4 of each a day...

hi Nasreen,
it also depends on what weight u started with. like I lost weight in the first trimester due to morning sickness.so have you been gaining gradually upto now? you can check with your doc too in your monthly checkup...maybe your portion size needs to reduce & freq needs to increase

Nothing wrong. You are following a right diet. Everything is fine.. You can reduce weight after delivery. Now don't worry on weight. Just be happy, relaxed and continue wat you are doing. All mom's know here that weight gain is normal. Do think that in another 20 days u will gain 4 more kgs. No...not like that. Weight will be due to growing baby.And also body will store in case of emergency purpose. It also have to cushion  the baby from any jerks and after delivery you need to feed baby as wel...
you will be delivering a healthy strong baby. After that..you can think of exercises and reduce weight. Take care.

cut down on the sugar and rice items,idli-dosa are also rice items .wheat  n ragi chapattis are best .check if u r over eating.sometimes mom's to be tend to overeat out of anxiety

nasreen, you are doing very well with the diet and exercise, so continue with that. Like Roopashree said, don't worry about the weight gain too much. In some months, it can vary... You can talk to your doctor about it. And do include egg whites, moong sprouts, small fishes and chicken in your diet. All the best dear...

Hi, I agree with everyone here. But, putting on 4 kg in 20 days? U need to do check for thyroid n sugar also. Please make sure that U talk to ur gynecologist in next visit.

im also having the same diet...dont worry bout ur wieght gain dear...njou ur pregnancy...atleast u r having a healthy diet..include more liquid quantity in ur diet...like buttérmilk,coconut water, sattu water, lemonade...etc..gaining wieght depand on person to person body also..so be calm & njoy
