Q:

Hi all. I am 33 weeks pregnant. From yesterday i am feeling tired and just feel like lying down all the time. Feeling heavy too. Not able to stay active like before. Is there anyway in which you can raise your energy levels during last two months of pregnancy?. As lying down all day makes me feel lethargic and haunting thoughts about labour comes.Any of you facing the same kya?

No need to worry. Even I had similar situation during my pregnancy. It's common. Take rest. Relax. Due to growing baby inside, heaviness and many hormonal changes...you feel lazy, dull. Just watch some comedy happy movies. watch cartoon network..Forget about labour, delivery...everything. U have taken care of baby till now.. and u will happily get baby. Pain is for a while. Your body is slowly ready to take anything. So... enjoy. Later you will be busy with baby, hardly u get any time to watch TV. So enjoy this period.

You can read some books. You know wat.. even I never use to use mobile, TV or books . All day long use to sit in balcony watching vehicles, trees, plants..feeling fresh air and thinking when I will sleep on my tummy... ha ha ha .. Can't wait anymore.. want to see baby... like that feel. It's normal.  Cal and talk to friends and relatives.

Hi Eshita do u go for a walk in the morning...try doing that ..u will feel fresh through the day. And as Roopashree has mentioned it's normal to feel lazy n dull. So listen to good music...if u have a hobby like painting or something try doing that

Actually i love walking. But doctor is telling me not to. May be doc is being extra careful. Dont know. I just stroll for sometime after lunch and dinner. But have not gone for long walks.

Shurvi Khamesra and Eshita Shah Dont worry, its common in pregnancy and as you are heading towards the final step so its fine. Eat 2-3 biscuits as soon as you get up from bed, eat in small portions than having full stomach, eat protein and fibre rich food, drink more fluid including tender coconut water, it will boost your energy. At the same time do rest as well...Good luck to u both

Eshita Shah

Thanks shyama and Avani
