My baby is 4 months old.... Can I start solids... If so which would be best for him.

No. Don't give any solids till 6 months. It's not recommended to give early. Baby's digestive system will be very delicate and won't be developed yet. And also proper enzymes won't be there to digest. It will be burden on baby's stomach, liver and kidney if you start soon. Let it complete 6 months... then you can give water in spoon. Mashed sweet potato, banana, mashed rice and dal paani.. initially. Slowly you have to introduce one by one . Now mother's milk / formula milk is fine. No other things.

no baby stomach is too delicate   at such early age.ideally you should start with dal/chawal ka paani after 6 month.you can give cerelac as well
