My baby is 4 months. Today her pediatrician told that now I can introduce her to food like Moong daal pani, veg soup, water. Firstly I was in Ahmedabad there doc told not to give anything other than milk for six months. But in pune today doc told to start. Pls suggest me is it right time to do so. Has anyone done this do Early!?

In spite of a lot of family pressure to start solids at 4 months, my pediatrician was strictly against feeding anything apart from formula or breastmilk till 6 months of age. That is the norm every pediatrician suggests, I wonder why you doc suggested you to start so early. I suggest you should take a second opinion from a renowned pediatrician before you start with solids

Ya till now I was in Ahmedabad, there doc told me nothing to start before 6 months. But now I m in pune. In pune doc told me to start this. I was wondering what to do

Manvi follow your heart, when it comes to anything related to your baby... That's all that works best...
Ideally it's said that the baby needs only breastmilk till six months, after that is when the baby requires more nutrition in the form of solids...
My pediatrician told me to begin slowly and at 5.5 months, so my baby gets used to the new taste which would be coming her way soon...
I used to dip my finger in food and make her taste... After six months Completion when I have her solids, she was ready for the change

My baby is 8 months old. I hv bf her till 6 months then started giving her liquids and further to semi solids.

u must feed 6 month to ur Little one

Is bottle feeding is OK along with breast-feeding before 6 months?

no ma u just feed breastfeeding its very health nd more immunity to ur Little one

Manvi there are lot of things that doctors consider before advising that like the weight of the baby, etc. As such it is advised to exclusively breastfeed the child till 6 months and then introduce semi solids. I myself started with semi solids for my kids when they turned 6 months. You must ask your doctor is there are specific reason why he/she has suggested so and if you aren't convinced try taking a second opinion from another paediatrician.
