My baby is 3 and half months old.  I need to feed her every hour in the day. is it normal? she is brestfed. at night she give only 2hrs gap.

Roopashree Siddireddy

Yes it's quite common. As baby grows they need more time to feed. sometimes between feed baby will nap and they are not actually latching.  Make sure baby once start feeding ..she takes full feed. if she sleeps within 10-15 mins touch her ear, feet or nose and wake her up and then feed. once she is full and in deep sleep... put her to sleep and you move away from her.

Many times after laching for few min.she start staring at me or other objects. this way my milk gets wasted. what to do to avoid this.

If this is a regular pattern then no. Ideally a minimum gap of two hours during the day and three to four hours in the night at this stage would be recommended. See a Lactation specialist for help in getting feeding cycles sorted.
